Description of problem: For a minimal installation (without an X server or only with Qt, for example) packages such as adwaita-icon -theme, gtk + 2 and gtk + 3, their dependencies are installed. This seems to come from the mate-polkit preference, rather than polkit-agent-none. Is mate-polkit really essential? Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): meta-task-6-0.23
Our minimal installation *with* X includes IceWM which does need mate-polkit. We don't currently support conditional preferences for meeting virtual requirements such that we could also have it prefer polkit-agent-none when you don't have X. I think the real key here is to not install anything that requires a polkit-agent (like drakconf) in your minimal installation.
Thanks David In fact, I choose a custom installation without X server, without recommended and without basic doc. In the 'summary' step, I configure the graphics card. This installs the X server, without IceWM-light. But I still have mate-polkit and adwaite-icon-theme. I think this comes from the file prefer.vendor.list
Yes, mate-polkit must be the preferred polkit-agent in prefer.vendor.list. We don't have a way to have it do something different on non-X installs. I'm guessing you did include the "Configuration tools" category in your installation.
thank you David So I'll get around the problem by deleting adwaita-icon-theme. I close the report
