Adding feedback so it will wait on 5.1 iso release

Whiteboard: (none) => feedback

Comment 2 David Walser 2016-11-30 15:05:26 CET
The 5.1 ISOs have been validated, so this can be validated and pushed now.

Whiteboard: feedback => (none)

Comment 3 Thomas Backlund 2016-12-01 16:42:45 CET
There has not been any official iso _release_ yet !

Whiteboard: (none) => feedback

Comment 4 David Walser 2016-12-02 15:47:22 CET
We should have these packages pushed before the ISOs are released, and unless I'm mistaken, they have been validated so they will be released shortly.
Comment 5 Samuel Verschelde 2016-12-02 15:50:53 CET
The torrents are already available.

And the images are on the mirrors already. We're about to publish the blog post.
Comment 7 Thomas Backlund 2016-12-02 15:54:46 CET
yes, I know, and I'll push this as soon as blog is pushed...

It also needs manual intervention on mirror tree as we have disabled automatic drakx-installer* unpacking on stable trees.

Not entirely unrelated ;). Should we mention on the blog and/or website + on 5.1 Release notes that 5.1 can be 'installed on nvme hardware'?

Yeah, that's an important addition on theese isos

Also, I've now unpacked drakx-installer* stuff on primary mirror, so new md5sums on boot isos:

ace383263a563d3fc37d23df442db8a8  boot.iso

Comment 10 David Walser 2016-12-02 18:52:56 CET
These need to be pushed well in advance of the blog post being published. They should be pushed before the ISOs are released so that the packages don't show up in urpmq --not-available. The blog post shouldn't be published until the ISOs have had a chance to sync out to the mirrors.

Please stop this useless bike-shedding...

I've done release work since Mageia started, including mageia 4.1 refresh so I know how stuff works.
Comment 12 Thomas Backlund 2016-12-02 22:38:04 CET
