There is a patch added for konqueror, to avoid download the favicon of some sites
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=275547

i'd like to ask if it is possible to add it in a future update
Comment 1 John Balcaen 2011-06-30 22:23:40 CEST
We're going to provide KDE SC 4.6.5 as update for Mageia 1 so this patch will get included of course :)

no because the patch was in fact not included at all in upstream since it was not fixing this bug :/

Nothing changed upstream
Comment 7 Dimitrios Glentadakis 2012-04-22 11:43:40 CEST
I checked it yesterday and i could not reproduce the bug in the given url.
But i remember that i had the bug in other sites which i did nt write down the url.

I have a reminder for this, and when i have mageia 2 with kde 4.8.x, if i cannot reproduce the bug, i will inform to close this and the upstream too.
Comment 8 Manuel Hiebel 2012-11-05 16:51:51 CET
This message is a reminder that Mageia 1 is nearing its end of life.
In approximately 25 days from now, Mageia will stop maintaining and issuing
updates for Mageia 1. At that time this bug will be closed as WONTFIX (EOL) if it
remains open with a Mageia 'version' of '1'.

Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you plan to
fix it in a currently maintained version, simply change the 'version' to a later
Mageia version prior to Mageia 1's end of life.

Bug Reporter: Thank you for reporting this issue and we are sorry that we may not
be able to fix it before Mageia 1 is end of life. If you would still like to see
this bug fixed and are able to reproduce it against a later version of Mageia,
you are encouraged to click on "Version" and change it against that version
of Mageia.

Although we aim to fix as many bugs as possible during every release's lifetime,
sometimes those efforts are overtaken by events. Often a more recent Mageia
release includes newer upstream software that fixes bugs or makes them obsolete.

In KDE 4.8.5 i cannot reproduce it any more. However, is reported upstream.
