The one that I am using without any trouble is 4.4.16-desktop-1.mga5 4.4.22-desktop-1.mga5 had the same issue but was quickly replaced by 4.4.26-desktop-1.mga5
ok, so that confirms my suspicion... there were 2 dp link fixes landing in 4.4.21... I will look up if there is something missing or if I should revert them for now...
There is now a kernel-4.4.30-2.mga5 currently building where I've added upstream fixes for the regressions introduced in 4.4.21 It should start appearing on mirrors in updates_testing in about 3+ hours... Please test it out and see if it works for you..
