It appears the code for ipv6 was removed in krfb. I understand this is not a Mageia error. I do hope someone here can either re-code it or knows who at kde can/will do so. Thanks
Maybe you can report a bug upstream, at kde.org ;)

I will. I thought maybe someone here might have better luck getting the code redone than me.
Filed at kde. bug 276787
Thanks ;)

Again no change upstream. @ James After you filed your report, we had a new version of kdenetwork in July: kdenetwork4-4.6.5-0.mga1 Did the problem persist? If so, did you by any chance test Mageia 2 beta 3 and know whether the issue is still there or not?

No reply, and Mageia 2 final is there, now. @ James: ping! is this bug still valid with kdenetwork4-4.6.5-0.mga1 ? If so, do you happen to know whether this bug is valid for Mageia 2 and/or cauldron, too? We have kdenetwork4-4.8.2-2.mga2 in Mga2 and cauldron If you don't reply, we'll have to close this report as OLD
