Updated nonfree firmwares, should go out at the same time as the kernel-4.4.22-1.mga5 or before... Advisory will follow... I had already installed these when testing kernel 4.4.21-2. Still working on my HP laptop with kernel 4.4.22-1.

Advisory: Updated nonfree firmware packages This update provides updated nonfree firmwares for added / improved hardware support including updates for amdgpu, radeon, marwell, brcm, mediatek, erl_vt, er2870sta, ath10k, qed, iwlwifi, i915. Reference: https://bugs.mageia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=19453
On Mageia 5 x64 real hardware with Radeon graphics Kernel 4.4.22-desktop-1.mga5 I already had radeon-firmware-20160920-1.mga5.nonfree pulled in (I think) by the update to kernel 4.4.22. For me, that part is OK. For 'kernel-firmware-nonfree', I do not have it, despite my system being 'nonfree' from the start. Trying to install it: # urpmi kernel-firmware-nonfree Rhaid i'r pecynnau canlynol gael eu tynnu i eraill gael eu diweddaru. kernel-desktop-4.4.22-1.mga5-1-1.mga5.x86_64 (oherwydd gwrthdaro gyda kernel-firmware-nonfree[< 20160914-1]) which says it wanted to *remove* the latest kernel because of a conflict with kernel-firmware-nonfree[< 20160914-1] . I back off.

You need to enable nonfree/updates/testing for urpmi to find the correct version.
