Description of problem: Launching any of the LibreOffice applications from the start menu works fine. Writer, Calc, Impress, Draw. Dragging the launch icon from start menu to the Plasma desktop and launching the application from there works fine. Renaming the launch icon on the Plasma desktop changes the launch process and displays the launch code in a text editor ( Kwrite ). Application is not launched. This does not disturb the launch icons in the Start menu and they can be re-dragged back to the desktop and if not renamed can be successfully launched again. I cannot find another application effected by this.

Hi William, Thank you for having taken the needed time to report this issue! We regret if this issue didn't get fixed in Mageia 5. Mageia 5 has officially reached its End of Life on December 31st, 2017 https://blog.mageia.org/en/2017/11/07/mageia-5-eol-postponed/ It only continued to get important security updates since then, but non-security bugs have no chance of still getting fixed. I assume this bug doesn't exist in Mageia 6 or later, because Plasma and kf5 changed very much. Closing as OLD.
