Description of problem: Plasma 5.7.95 panel digital clock applet comes up empty and does not save settings

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): 5.7.95

Steps to Reproduce:
1. upgrade Plasma 5.7.5 to 5.7.95
2. start Plasma 5.7.95 desktop
3. note that panel digital clock applet is empty
4. try to change digital clock settings using mouse right-click and choosing corresponding menu
5. note, that your default timezone is not selected (no timezone selected at all)
6. selecting timezone makes digital clock applet to display time
7. configure all setting according your taste and applet starts to work as expected
8. log out from Plasma Desktop and back in
9. note that panel digital clock applet is empty again
10. only setting that was saved was calendar locale setting

I can reproduce this issue.
I also tried creating a new user, thinking it could be a config upgrade problem, but I saw the same behavior.

Something specific to Mageia and started with Plasma 5.8 beta?

KaOS Plasma 5.7.95 based live media displays panel digital clock applet just OK.

It seems that in Mageia /.config/plasma-org.kde.plasma.desktop-appletsrc file does not contain any information about digital clock applet configuration...

No clock anymore for me either since plasma 5.7.95

Animtim gave the link to a bug Shlomi filed upstream.
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=369063

After removing the first (obviously wrong) character in
/usr/share/plasma/plasmoids/org.kde.plasma.digitalclock/contents/config/main.xml

and logging out and back in, the clock works again
