The desktop settings revert to default.    Wallpaper reverts to default.   Widgets disappear.   Desktop icons disappear.    Always occurs anytime a screenshot is taken with Spectacle or QScreenshot, or whenever you close some applications.   It can occur on an hourly basis.

Panel is not affected.

Does this still occur after fully updating your system?

If so, which desktop environment do you use?

Does this also happen with a new user?

I have not had this issue for about 2 weeks.    

The issue was fixed with one of the Plasma updates I presume.    

My computer is working flawlessly with Plasma 5.8 and kernel 4.8.1 and Frameworks 5.27.    My only issue is that the game Aisleriot broke updating from 3.20 to 3.22
