Description of problem: its more a caveat than a bug Cauldron (Mageia 6 updated to latest software) Desktop:Gnome Graphics: onboard (AMD-APU A8 6500T) How reproducible: exactly Steps to Reproduce: 1. open MCC, goto "Grafiksystem konfigurieren", "Konfigurieren der 3D Desktop Effekte" 2. Choose "Compiz Fusion" and install. 3. Reboot. Now you are done, after login you only get a black screen with only the mouse-pointer visible in "Gnome". "Gnome2" shows desktop symbols, here you can open a terminal, enter "su" and then MCC. it starts, maybe you can revert 3D. "Wayland" works, but the MCC does not start. Reason: the gallium-driver does not support 3D .....

Maybe drak3d could detect that the driver doesn't support it before proposing to activate compiz fusion. Adding the Mageia tools maintainer group in CC for their opinion.

In such cases, it would be nice to see a message that 3D is not supported.
