the package is in Mdv contrib-backports (Mdv packages have a bigger chance of being packed for Mga than other packages), and in contrib-release for cooker

+1 for this. It's a great LaTeX editor. In fact, I might be interested in trying to learn how to package it for Mageia and maintaining it if possible?

@ Chris

Oh yes, please, do become a Mageia packager :D

You can read how to do that here:

OK, I have created a .spec file here:

spec -> http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1501309/mageia/texworks/texworks.spec

The original .src.rpm is from Mandriva from which this is based upon on is here:

src.rpm -> http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1501309/mageia/texworks/texworks-0.4.3-0.r858.src.rpm

Javier, if you want a 64 bit rpm, I have created one if it's helpful for you.

rpm -> http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1501309/mageia/texworks/texworks-0.4.3-1.mga1.x86_64.rpm

For me to go any further I guess I need a mentor. I have am also interested in maintaining R-base and would be interested in maintaining jags.
