Thomas Backlund had made another change in SVN and rebuilt it (1.1.mga5 and 2.mga6) again, but it failed to build only in Cauldron. The error is: File not found: /home/iurt/rpmbuild/BUILDROOT/thunderbird-45.2.0-2.mga6.i386/usr/lib/mozilla/extensions/{3550f703-e582-4d05-9a08-453d09bdfdc6}/{e2fda1a4-762b-4020-b5ad-a41df1933103}/chrome/lightning-* File not found: /home/iurt/rpmbuild/BUILDROOT/thunderbird-45.2.0-2.mga6.i386/usr/lib/mozilla/extensions/{3550f703-e582-4d05-9a08-453d09bdfdc6}/{e2fda1a4-762b-4020-b5ad-a41df1933103}/chrome/calendar-* http://pkgsubmit.mageia.org/uploads/failure/cauldron/core/release/20160812160256.luigiwalser.duvel.16502/log/thunderbird-45.2.0-2.mga6/build.0.20160812160459.log Hopefully 45.3.0 will be out soon, that may help fix this.
Sorry for the late reply. The error you described usually happens when either the lightning extension has not been built, or if the version has changed (or maybe even the extension ID). I've not yet found some uncomplicated way to automate the thunderbird <> lightning version definitions in a way that is readable and does not overcomplicate the package even further. Although the subject of this bug is about higher mga5 release then in cauldron ?

(In reply to Florian Hubold from comment #1) > Although the subject of this bug is about higher mga5 release then in > cauldron ? After the initial update to 45.2.0, tmb made another commit in both 5 and cauldron: - disable language tagging for lightning as it fails to install all needed files breaking/disabling calendar on updates It built successfully in Mageia 5 as thunderbird-45.2.0-1.1.mga5 and we released that as an update. The same thing failed to build in Cauldron (log linked in Comment 0), which as a result still has thunderbird-45.2.0-1.mga6, thereby breaking upgrades from mga5 to Cauldron.
Thunderbird 45.3.0 is finally out, so now we have a better opportunity to fix this.
RedHat has issued the Thunderbird 45.3.0 update on September 5: https://rhn.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2016-1809.html
Component: RPM Packages => Security
Now fixed with updates to 45.3.0 built.
