Dear, In grub, make the input for start the installation from hard disk with all.rdz and vmlinuz. Start and boot on it. Select the new entry, start the stage 1 and select instalation from FTP. After the network configuration, you arrive on one page for select from: "Specify the mirror manually" or "1" See the attachment. Stef. Reproducible: Steps to Reproduce:

"1" is rather cryptic. Perhaps "Mageia_1" or "cauldron" would be better. Selecting "1", however, does seem to work (at least on i586). A choice of mirrors is offered and the installer does start to load. I did not proceed any further as the mirror was extremely slow and I have my own local mirror that I use.

Yeah, I noticed that too myself, when testing the boot.iso, but I haven't fixed it yet.
I confirm too (but I wasn't disturbed enough to report) Actually it's a stage1 issue
