One of them appears to be KMix as it looks the same as it did in Mageia 5 when you click on it. From what I've heard from discussions on IRC, I'm guessing the other one is plasma-pa.
For the sake of upgrades, maybe plasma-pa could obsolete the kmix version of mga5 (but not that of mga6, as there might be users who do want to have both installed), WDYT?
Sounds reasonable.

For me: Until a month or so ago and after upgrade from mga5 they were both working in tandem, and synchronised; adjusting one moved the other too. But now: One is making the "blopp" sounds when adjusting, and is working. Right-clicking this one opens *Phonon* sound dialogue. The other give visual feedback as overlay at center of screen, but give no result on sound output. Right-clicking this one give a text above it which i can click to open *Plasma* sound settings.
Should be fixed now obsoleting only kmix version from mga5: http://svnweb.mageia.org/packages?view=revision&revision=1052018
