Description Wim Coulier 2016-07-27 22:51:15 CEST
Description of problem: The HP Envy x360 15-aq015nd is a 2-in-1 laptop. The screen can be rotated over 360 degrees. In Windows the screen orientation is automatically deactivated when the screen is rotated or tilted, so the user always sees everything in upward position no matter how the device is used. This does not happen in Mga (neither in Plasma or Gnome), making the device useless in e.g. tent mode.

CC'ing some smart Mageians who are likely to know to which package this report should be assigned (and whether this report should be cloned if that's different for Plasma5 than for Gnome)

@ Wim

Please attach your

    /etc/X11/xorg.conf

And give the output of

   rpm -qa | grep xrandr

Sorry for the lack of reactivity. Personal problems are taking up all my energy for the moment. Here is rpm -qa | grep xrandr:
lib64xrandr-devel-1.5.1-1.mga6
lib64xrandr2-1.5.1-1.mga6

Thanks, Wim, we hope your problems will disappear, soon.

@ tv

I still don't have the slightest idea what/whom to assign this bug report to.

Please help

@ Alf

Do you have this problem, too, on your Mageia tablet?

Guessing it's a driver issue, since it works neither in Gnome nor in Plasma.
