Description of problem: When running Rosegarden, the examples and templates are not visible in the file -> open dialog. Version-Release number of selected component: Rosegarden 16.06-1.mga6 Steps to Reproduce: 1. Start Rosegarden 2. From the main window, call the File -> open menu 3. In the dialog, selecting the examples or templates entry (on the left) should show the examples (about 40) or the templates (about 3), but none of them is displayed. Cause of the problem: The problem comes from the installation of these files in /usr/share/rosegarden/examples and /usr/share/rosegarden/templates. Installing any data in /usr/share/rosegarden is useless. All the files installed in /usr/share/rosegarden are already bundled inside the rosegarden executable file. The examples and templates files are unbundled in $HOME/.local/share/rosegarden when rosegarden is starting, except if they have been already found in /usr/local/share/rosegarden or in /usr/share/rosegarden. Once the files are in $HOME/.local/..., the user is free to modify them and the file open dialog looks for them in this place. The same process is used with files in autoload, fonts and library repertories, but if a new autoload.rg file is needed, it will be automatically created in $HOME/.local and the fonts and libraries are not frequently modified. The .rc and .xml files are only useful to a very advanced user who should be able to get them from the sources if needed. That's probably why they are not unbundled in $HOME/.local as the other files are. Keeping them already available in /usr/share/rosegarden should not be harmful. BTW thanks to the packager: It's nice to have again an up-to-date version of Rosegarden in Mageia.
Hi Yves, Thanks for your report! Ok I see the problem so I'll remove *ALL* files from /usr/share/rosegarden/.
