Hi Ben, Can you try by launching isodumper from console as USER too. You should get the ask for password. It is intersting to see what it happens after.

bother. after power-down overnight and reboot, isodumper is now working correctly. I will check other single DE installs , and if no further issues, will close this report

in virtual box is ok so closing as resolved
