Here is the lspci -v output for this machine:

The "drakrpm" program crashed. Drakbug-16.104 caught it.

I started the laptop (Dell Latitude 6520, i7, 8GB) and immediately started update as machine had been sitting for a few days.
An unexpected screen appeared requesting I choose (foreign language) fonts. English did not appear on the list, so I chose Spanish es.
I allowed the font installation to proceed, but it crashed, mentioning aria something.
The main update application was on the screen, so I allowed it to proceed.
I was not particularly expecting a large update list, but it proceeded to update LibreOffice. sigh. So I waited for it for a while, but it continued to an error.
I copied the package name from the error list and attempted to install it separately, but that process ended in an error.
Then I got a message from MSEC telling me that security changes had been made in my machine while connected to the Internet. Oh, Damn.
(How the hell do I reverse the security changes?)
[(Parenthetically, what I really wanted to accomplish with the laptop was to install a printer driver for a Brother HL-L2320D monochrome laser printer.)]
The process of installing the font package separately told me it was going to have to uninstall a huge list of LibreOffice files just to replace the
.2 installed version with the newer .3 version in the packages list. With some trepidation I decided the installer new best, and OKed the installation.
That process resulted in the drakrpm crash message above.
There is now a white exclamation mark in a red dot in the bar saying an update is available. Well, no shit Sherlock. What a mess.

Well, isn't that special? Clicking on the Report button yielded the following message in a new window:

Request-URI Too Large

The requested URL's length exceeds the capacity limit for this server.
Apache/2.2.23 (Mageia/PREFORK-1.mga1) Server at alamut.mageia.org Port 80

I'll take out the lscpi stuff and try again.
