Description of problem: I invoked efibootmgr to test the recent upgrade of grub2-efi. I get an error message: Bus error (Core dumped). The command itself worked as intended. grub works fine here. I could not see any issue in my LVM and btrfs multi-boot system. The system is a Sony Vaio E Series SVE1713G4EW notebook (Bios: InsydeH20 Setup Utility Rev. 3.7.). Best regards Ulrich

The kernel module efivar is missing: [root@localhost log]# lsmod | grep efi efivarfs 16384 1 [root@localhost log]# It worked before, and I did not see that any related package was gone. Btw, I use dnf as packagemanager. Best regards, Ulrich
That is the same as my 29 June system without this bug. [baz@localhost ~]$ su Password: [root@localhost baz]# lsmod |grep efi efivarfs 16384 1 I think the efivars module is built into the kernel now so it won't be shown by lsmod.
This is due to the update of efivar to 0.24
