Description of problem: While installing a fresh install when it come to the Choose a keyboard option, the install screen seems frozen. A black square box appears in the center of the screen, and the mouse move but nothing else seems to work. I noticed at the very beginning of the installation, about 3 or 4 lines of odd characters appear in the top left corner. ASCII type characters. I pressed Ctl-Alt-F1 and see 'Starting host name Service' and it stop. Ctl-Alt-F3 I am able to log in as root but didn't know what to do or try. The md5sum check was the same as the iso. eb66a13cd2b0f6686be96382329d0798 Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): Mageia-6-sta1-LiveDVD-PLASMA5-x86_64-DVD.iso

I forgot to mention it was all done after booting the livedvd, I went straight to the 'Install Mageia' option. Since then I have been able to install it from within the livecd. Choosing the keyboard option worked, as everything else. But this time after getting to the Setup Users screen, and adding Root & Users passwords and clicking OK, it seemed to froze for a bit. I pressed Ctl-Alt-F3 to see what was going on and then went back to Ctl-Alt-F1 and Plasma5 login screen was there.

Please say so if you forgot how to copy the file to a USB key or to your hard disk in text mode.

No need for logs, the "Install" option in iso boot menu on -sta1 isos is broken. I thought it got added to errata for -sta1 but maybe not. So for now, only booting to live mode and starting the install from there works. We now have the fix for that, so it will be on next isos.
