Description Herman Viaene 2016-06-22 14:30:40 CEST
Description of problem:

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

How reproducible:
Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Run dolphin as root (using "kdesu dolphin" or "su -l" and then dolphin does not matter.
2. Navigate to the root filesystem
3.Open settings and choose for location "Use current location". The field gets "//".
4. Apply the change, you get a message that the location is invalid and will not be applied.
5. Change the location field in the settings to "/", works OK

Note: in KDE4, I get in the location field "file:///" when I do the same steps.
I did not test on a i586 Plasma installation.
