Please try with 5.1.4 rc2 once it lands on your favorite mirror ( libreoffice-5.1.4.2-1.mga6)

No change with libreoffice-5.1.4.2-1.mga6.

Somewhat similar behaviour has Mageia's Firefox, where the main menu is very compressed too and the menu items are also very close to each other.
Difference is that Firefox still displays Breeze icons in the menus.

Hello,
More information about this problem, in my opinion, LO is not the problem because i have 3 applications with a menu compressed in KDE plasma cauldron :
-Libreoffice 5
-Mypaint
-Homebank

In spite of that and oddly, Firefox or Gimp work normally...
the origin of the problem is breeze-GTK because, when we delete this package, we have a good icon theme from menu but ugly...

With breeze-gtk-5.8.5-2.mga6 update now for libreoffice the situation is much better with the default libreoffice-gtk3. There are still no breeze icons in pulldown menus (it has with libreoffice-gtk2 & forcing it with "export SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN=gtk") but now the pulldown menus are at least spaced correctly (not compressed any more).
Comment 9 Nicolas Lécureuil 2017-03-15 16:04:41 CET
is it still valid on current cauldron ?

Yes, just checked with fresh libreoffice-5.3.1.2-1.mga6
Comment 11 Jüri Ivask 2017-04-21 14:38:17 CEST
Hmm, actually the menu icons display is set to "Automatic" in Tools -> Setup -> Look&Feel -> Menu subsection -> Icons in menus
If I select "Visible", then the icons appear in pulldown menus.
So I think the current bug report is at least partially invalid - the icons are not displayed by default but it is possible to make them appear by changing according setting...
Should I mark it Resolved & Invalid?

This is no longer the case under M7 and M8.

Users who have experienced this problem are encouraged to upgrade to the latest update of their distribution, and if this issue turns out to still be reproducible in the latest update, please reopen this bug with additional information.

Closing as OLD.
