Description Nikita Krupenko 2016-06-20 20:03:46 CEST
Description of problem:
I started syncthing service on my laptop and I found that it doesn't work after laptop suspended and I need to manually restart service after laptop resume.

Original syncthing program from github works after resume, so seems systemd kills service or doesn't restart it properly.

$ systemctl status syncthing@nekit
â syncthing@nekit.service - Syncthing
   Loaded: loaded (/usr/lib/systemd/system/syncthing@.service; enabled; vendor preset: enabled)
   Active: failed (Result: exit-code) since Ðнд 2016-06-20 15:19:43 EEST; 5h 42min ago
 Main PID: 2734 (code=exited, status=3)

Paused state detected, possibly woke up from standby. Restarting in 1m0s.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
0.13.7-1

How reproducible:
Always.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Start syncthing service.
2. Suspend the machine.
3. Resume the machine.

In above it say "Restarting in 1m0s".
Does anything happen after that minute;
does it try to restart but fail?

I see, that after resume it just terminates in 1 minute.

Do you still see this problem? If not please close this bug.

I have not seen that problem here, on mga6 64 bit plasma.
Syncthing is now version 0.14.30, and we use Syncthing-GTK to run it.

BTW, it is time to update Syncthing -> I entered Bug 22133
Comment 4 Nikita Krupenko 2017-12-08 01:19:09 CET
So now we don't use the systemd unit anymore anymore?

Yes, I still this problem. And why I shoudn't see it? Have you fixed it?
Comment 6 Morgan Leijström 2018-01-02 15:57:04 CET
I just wanted to have the bug updated. Now I updated the here stated synthing version I presume that is what you tested with now.

This is not my cup of tea, i am only a user.

But i do know that me and my wife installed syncthing-gtk, and that it continues to operate after suspend-resume, so for you it may be a workaround.

Comment 7 Morgan Leijström 2018-01-02 15:59:00 CET
I forgot to edit version - i assume you are on mga6?

Version: Cauldron => 6

Comment 8 Nikita Krupenko 2018-01-02 17:06:53 CET
Thanks, I just note, that I tested with the recent version from Cauldron, not mga6.
Comment 9 Morgan Leijström 2019-09-29 22:20:43 CEST
We do not package syncthing anymore.
