Description Ãric Barrat 2011-06-20 15:33:34 CEST
Description of problem:
The "lock-keys-applet" package is not in Mageia repositories.
It is for Gnome desktops.
It shows the keyboard LED status in the task-bar.
It is very useful when the keyboard does not have those LEDs (I have such a netbook).

Workaround:
I have downloaded the Mandriva package from a Mandriva repository.
I have installed it with "urpmi *.rpm"
It works fine (need to restart in order to be able to add it to the task-bar), but obviously this is not clean.

Setting version to cauldron, because package requests will usually be done for cauldron first and then be available in next stable release

Version: 1 => Cauldron
Source RPM: (none) => lock-keys-applet

Assigning this package request to all packagers collectively. On a voluntary basis, one of them might want to integrate it to the distribution and maintain it for bug and security fixes.

You might also want to join the packager team to maintain this piece of software: see https://wiki.mageia.org/en/Becoming_a_Mageia_Packager
