Description of problem: mageia 6 4-6-4 desktop1.mga6 arch 64 Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): qelectrotech V0.5 How reproducible:Permanent Steps to Reproduce: 1.Start Mga6 2.Start QET ( from depots MGA ou From QET , its same problem) 3.open a new or existig document 4 try to modify it ( select parts , insert components....) At the beginning of the week everything worked fine. i think MGA make a release of QT5 on tuesday or wednesday And on friday QET is out of duty. TEQ launches successfully and displays everything normally. If I open an existing file it is displayed correctly with the various tabs but it is impossible to change or select nothing in the diagrams. It is also impossible to insert a component. We can still correctly close the file and reopen it. I tried to urpme this soft and reinstall it but the problème is still here.

Hi, If you run qelectrotech in a terminal, are there errors?
tks for your answer; I tried to launch from terminal : => [root@localhost lajoiejp]# qelectrotech libpng warning: iCCP: known incorrect sRGB profile libpng warning: iCCP: too many profiles libpng warning: iCCP: too many profiles libpng warning: iCCP: too many profiles org.kde.knotifications: env says KDE is running but SNI unavailable -- check KDE_FULL_SESSION and XDG_CURRENT_DESKTOP transaction began for "common" transaction commited for "common" transaction began for "custom" transaction commited for "custom" By this way qelectrotech launches and works properly. But if we try to open a file to save the diagram or opening an existing file we have this error: 'Can not start the process impossible to engage with KLauncher. Not connected to D-Bus server '
i tried to launch from terminal but not in root: [lajoiejp@localhost ~]$ qelectrotech libpng warning: iCCP: known incorrect sRGB profile libpng warning: iCCP: too many profiles libpng warning: iCCP: too many profiles libpng warning: iCCP: too many profiles transaction began for "common" transaction commited for "common" transaction began for "custom" transaction commited for "custom" libpng warning: iCCP: too many profiles libpng warning: iCCP: too many profiles libpng warning: iCCP: too many profiles QMetaObject::connectSlotsByName: Connecting slot on_increase_spinBox_valueChanged() with the first of the following compatible signals: ("valueChanged(int)", "valueChanged(QString)") libpng warning: iCCP: too many profiles libpng warning: iCCP: too many profiles libpng warning: iCCP: too many profiles [lajoiejp@localhost ~]$ in this case qelectrotech start, but it's impossible to use it (no selection , no insertion of components.....)
Strange, no problem here on my Cauldron mga6 for x86_64 $ qelectrotech libpng warning: iCCP: known incorrect sRGB profile libpng warning: iCCP: too many profiles libpng warning: iCCP: too many profiles libpng warning: iCCP: too many profiles transaction began for "common" QPainter::begin: Paint device returned engine == 0, type: 2 QPainter::setRenderHint: Painter must be active to set rendering hints QPainter::setRenderHint: Painter must be active to set rendering hints QPainter::translate: Painter not active QPainter::worldTransform: Painter not active QPainter::setWorldTransform: Painter not active QPainter::setPen: Painter not active QPainter::setRenderHint: Painter must be active to set rendering hints QPainter::setRenderHint: Painter must be active to set rendering hints QPainter::setPen: Painter not active QPainter::setRenderHint: Painter must be active to set rendering hints QPainter::setRenderHint: Painter must be active to set rendering hints transaction commited for "common" transaction began for "custom" transaction commited for "custom" transaction began for "common" transaction commited for "common" transaction began for "custom" transaction commited for "custom" $ Can you try removing or renaming "~/.qet" config file? ex: mv ~/.qet ~/.qet.bak
I can not find the folder with .qet/ config file in .qet I have : Elements titleblocs elements-cache. sqlite I renamed .qet in .qet. bak Qelectrotech create a new .qet folder but the problem is the same than before [lajoiejp@localhost ~]$ qelectrotech libpng warning: iCCP: known incorrect sRGB profile libpng warning: iCCP: too many profiles libpng warning: iCCP: too many profiles libpng warning: iCCP: too many profiles transaction began for "common" transaction commited for "common" transaction began for "custom" transaction commited for "custom" [lajoiejp@localhost ~]$ i also see another problem : there is no command in qelectrotech window to close or reduce this window
i don't have the lines with qpainter >>>>>>>
So I think you have something wrong in your Cauldron and not in qelectrotech! I can close or reduce the window here!
i think also it's a cauldron problem . it's the reason why i post in mageia bugzilla. thanks for your collaboration .
This sounds like it could be a missing dependency, if it works for one but not for the other. I tested locally and it works fine on Cauldron x86_64 to create a new file and place some elements on the canvas.
Source RPM: qelectrotech x86-64 => qelectrotech-0.5-1.mga6
how to know that dependancy is missing ?
i confirm that it was working on monday
I found something! I had downloaded here: I found something! I had downloaded here:https://qelectrotech.org/showcategory.php the zipped Elements directories: collection_officielle moderation all_comers and unzipped in .qet / elements The attempt to insert one of these items in qelectrotech, blocks all! Erasure of the directory is not enough to restore, you must also reboot and I had to do it twice in order to work again with qelectrotech. I started the experience again and the crash happened again. So it seems to be a problem in qelectrotech! good night
Please report this issue upstream, thanks in advance! https://qelectrotech.org/bugtracker/

i come back because it could be a mageia6 packaging why ? 1- whith Konsole in root (su) qelectrotech works correctly, icons to open/close/reduce the window are presents; in konsole i have :org.kde.knotifications: env says KDE is running but SNI unavailable -- check KDE_FULL_SESSION and XDG_CURRENT_DESKTOP only one problem : impossible to save ou read from disk. in konsole i have then : QStandardPaths: wrong ownership on runtime directory /run/user/1000, 1000 instead of 0 klauncher not running... launching kdeinit QStandardPaths: wrong ownership on runtime directory /run/user/1000, 1000 instead of 0 QStandardPaths: wrong ownership on runtime directory /run/user/1000, 1000 instead of 0 No DBUS session-bus found. Created attachment 7956 [details] qet in root
Created attachment 7957 [details] qet in user mode
Created attachment 7958 [details] qet in user-mode_mga6 No problem here in user mode, see my screenshot. as I already said earlier I really think you have a problem with your cauldron. This issue come not from qelectrotech but probably with your config (themes, icons, etc...)
Exact the most important problem (selection, insertion of elements, schematics changes impossible) is linked to Caudron. In fact I was under kde5, workspace appearance / Oxygen. I changed to kde5, workspace appearance / Mageia and there, oh miracle! qelectrotech operates again normally. By cons I have found nothing to restore proper management of the opening, closing or reduction of the main window (missing icons)
and the window gestion problem was simply due to the option "full screen " activated . Now everything is correct. The remainin problèm is still with oxygen
I confirm that qelectrotech is not working with Oxygen Appearence desk We can use the followings : mageia Brise Brise sombre but not Oxygen
So closing of this bug as it comes not from qelectrotech but something with oxygen.
