Description of problem: I installed Mageia 1 only with a DVD. In the past, Java Web Start OpenJDK's implementation was bundled with the JRE. Now, it is in a separate package called "icedtea-web". Mageia 1 installs OpenJDK by default but without icedtea-web RPM which means that the final user has no out-of-the-box support of Java Web Start and applets. icedtea-web is already on the repository, why not installing it by default? Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): How reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open Firefox 4 2. Go to any web page containing an applet or a Java Web Start link (.jnlp) 3.
I confirm. icedtea-web is not installed because it is missing on i586 and x86_64 iso DVD. debug message in ddebug.log: grep icedtea-web ddebug.log * unknown package `icedtea-web'

icedtea-web is not installed with Magia 2 alpha 1, because it is still missing on i586 and x86_64 iso DVD. I guess the problem is more in bcd's config than in meta-task. In lists/input_cat, java-1.6.0-openjdk-plugin was explicitly added; it should be replaced by icedtea-web.
Indeed thanks ;) (but the package is not in cauldron, so keep this component)
