Description of problem: Certain types of desktop do not have desktop icons (but can have them enabled, if so then they must be in live mode) and/or Live install needs to be in the first view of the main menu, not one or more levels down for the user to search and get exasperated. The purpose of the live disk is to have the newbie user try (Mageia) Linux and be able to install it easily. A user not finding it in the desktop or base menu may well give up. Please don't answer "it has been like this for so... long" that's the very reason it should have been fixed earlier and why newbies don't use (Mageia) Linux after seeing Live at work. I am quite sure this can be fixed easily before M6 final, so kindly aim for that.

What do you mean ? Gnome has the installer Icon in the launcher menu on the left side Plasma have it in the "favorites" menu that is the first one shown if you click on the "K" start menu button

I had a hard time finding it in the plasma menu. When I click on the menu button I don't see it right away. And I heard it is easy to put it on the desktop with Plasma, so let's do that!

Yeah, we used to put it on Gnome Desktop too, but I dont remember if we stopped doing that for mga5 or if it is a post mga5 issue... Shouldnt be too hard to fix.
Great :))

It's on the desktop for both Plasma and Xfce LiveDVDs GNOME 3 doesn't normally display icons on the desktop, and generally we try not to change the DE defaults on the Live DVDs. The installer is the top item in the Applications launcher, so pretty easy to find. Is this good enough?

That's exactly what I meant. So now it is fixed.
