Description of problem: [Firstly, I have two versions of caja-open-terminal and caja-extensions-common installed, 1.13.0-1 and 1.14.0-1. They were still there after "rpm -rebuilddb"] Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): How reproducible: When I pull down the Places menu in Mate, and select a folder from it, Audacious gets the link, and reports an error (naturally.) Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.
Further info: This does not happen when I open Caja from one of the desktop launchers. Is it perhaps the launcher on the panel, and not caja itself?

Is this a clean install? Do you have this issue with newly created user?
This is a clean install of Cauldron, on a single partition. I recall seeing that one upstream bug in Mate showed only with the Adwaita theme, but this one is there irrespective of the theme. I don't recall it being there in Official. Is there a .desktop file for the launcher on the top panel? That needs to be eliminated.

I can't source the RC.
(In reply to Doug Laidlaw from comment #8) > I can't source the RC. It's still being QA-tested. If you'd like to help with that, then please add yourself to https://wiki.mageia.org/en/QA_ISO_testers#For_QA_team and ask in on IRC irc://irc.freenode.net/#mageia-qa for someone to send you the needed credentials and information (or ask for that on qa-discuss ml)

Thanks Marja. I will do that when my computer is back in operation. I did notice the bug in Cauldron a few weeks ago. I had deleted everything in $HOME, so it wasn't a leftover. Strange that it went away then came back. Partly because of the bug, I run Xfce most of the time.
In my Cauldron installation with 3 DE's, the Places menu item opens Dolphin and I have no problem. Caja exists, but once it is opened, it has bypassed the bug.
Marja, I have decided not to be a QA tester. Meetings are at 5 a.m. our time, and my health is worse than when Mrs B invited me.
(In reply to Doug Laidlaw from comment #12) > Marja, I have decided not to be a QA tester. Meetings are at 5 a.m. our > time, and my health is worse than when Mrs B invited me. Please take really good care of yourself. I hope you'll get well, soon. Reading the meeting logs afterwards would be fine, instead of attending the meeting. However, depending on your character it might be too easy to do too much, you wouldn't be the first volunteer to fall into that trap. Anyway, you've already done very much for Mageia. Thanks a lot for your help here, in our bug tracker, and for your help in the Mageia Newsgroup. Whenever i followed that group, you and Bit Twister as good as shared the position of the most active poster. Thanks for all the time and energy you spent on helping Mageia users :-)
Thanks Marja. You seem to be doing more than your share at the moment. I have more posts because I don't put the whole story together first. I try to talk beginners language. I was born with some neurological problems and with inherited depression. The depression wipes me out for one week a month, and affects my motivation. Sometimes (like now) I can't even think. Maurice is 80 or so. I am 73+ and not as fit as he is. I will keep contributing as much as I can. Cauldron seems quite usable here at the moment.
Hi. First of all i' d like to thank you all for filing and contributing this bug report. I think i fixed this issue in Cauldron via mate-desktop-1.17.1-mga6 package and asked sysadmins for a freeze push. Please, if you have spare time, install it when hit mirrors and test with a new user.
I think this problem is solved. Closing this bug report for now. Please feel free to re-open if you encounter same issue.

Yes, it seems to be fixed. I just tested it in my recent Cauldron installation (sta2) and Caja works as it should. Sorry I didn't reply to your Comment 15.
