that very useful panel plugin lets XFCE users add any gnome2 applet to their panel. Its home page is here : http://goodies.xfce.org/projects/panel-plugins/xfce4-xfapplet-plugin It would be nice if there were a mageia package for it. Thanks,

Setting version to cauldron, because package requests will usually be done for cauldron first and then be available in next stable release

Summary: xfapplet-plugin, lets XFCE users add any gnome2 applet to their panel => xfapplet-plugin, lets XFCE users add any Mate applet to their panel
I changed the bug report title, since gnome2 has been replaced by Mate which should be available in Mageia 3. But it's not clear if xfapplet-plugin still works with Mate or not (see https://bugs.launchpad.net/linuxmint/+bug/1028261). So maybe this bug should be closed and reopened later if it appears that xfapplet really works with Mate.
where have you seen that mate will be available in mga 3 ? (and we have still some gnome2 applet in our repo)
I read it here : https://forums.mageia.org/en/viewtopic.php?f=29&t=3431 but maybe what was said there was just for some Mate packages and not the whole desktop ?
As suggested in comment 2 I'm closing this as WONTFIX for now.
