But, once installed, Digikam still doesn't work, at the first launch, after the choice of options, it can't start, there is this message for ever: Error while opening the database. digikam will try to automatically reconnect to the database Impossible to create a database in the settings, by default in /home/<user>/Pictures

Hum. no idea. There is nothing special to see in console trace. What's happen when you create a fresh account, and run digiKam on a first time with a test collection ? Just to see if it's reproducible. Note : i devel and use digiKam under Mageia Cauldron, and it work perfectly here... Gilles Caulier
