Description of problem: very minor __Steps to Reproduce: 1. select an image, OK. The button to write it becomes enabled (not greyed out) 2. Wanted to see what options are avaialble for formatting so i pressed that button, and in that dialog pressed Regret (translated from swedish) 3. Problem: Now the button to write image is greyed out, despite the image to write is still selected. Even if i had proceeded to formatted the stick i see no reason to disable writing of a selected image. __Word The button in the format dialog to exit it without doing anything is here in swedish named "Ãngra" which literally means "Regret" but is commonly used for "Undo" buttons. I do not know if it is a translation or original wording issue: Until i format there is nothing to undo, if i format i can not undo... Something like "Back" would be more appropriate. __Flexibility idea It would be good if the existing actions could be executed separately too: § (re)naming the partition ( exist in format dialog ) § backing up the partition This tool can then be used for those purposes too Idea: interface is transformed into a menu where user can pick the functions individually it will be flexible, comprehensive and clear: --------------------------------------------------------------- Target drive [ selection mojo like now ] [x] back up to image [ select folder and new filename, check available space! ] [x] format [ dropdown fat16/fat32/ntfs/ext4 ] [x] write image [ select existing file ] [x] set name [textfield] [ EXECUTE ] selected actions Note: Format and write are mutually exclusive. All selected actions are executed in order from top. --------------------------------------------------------------- In other words: Selecting write image greys out formatting, and vice versa. It should also be possible to select neither of them; for just backing up and/or naming. Naming as last step so you can have a custom name for the written stick.

Thanks Morgan for your feedback. A new release using yui instead of GTK is in preparation. Thus, point 1 and 2 will have to be reconsidered with the new release. Set name can not be used after writing, I think, because the format is not standard. I don't the correlation between backup and renaming. But indeed, renaming alone can be great.
Isodumper yui is out in cauldron, release 0.51.
For comment 0, translated button name in 2) is now correct. 3) is still valid: If i select to format, click abort, the USB stick still shows as selected but i need to select it again anyway before i can do anything at all about it. The thing i miss most is a way to only rename a stick. A couple very minor things: A) When window height is adjusted the reports height is kept the same, but other heights are changed. That is a problem when making window lower as selecting stick is the first item to vanish. Can it be made so the first thing that go a way is the logo, then then the report, and the most important things remain? B) The bottom left button "Update" As it is placed under Reports i think it is not easy to understand that it really updates the topmost item... could it be renamed "Search devices"? Or moved to right of "Device to operate on"?

Hi Morgan, I solved all the issues you reported, except renaming the stick. This will be for mga7. Papoteur
That was quick :) Cannot test ATM; no cauldron.
Summary: Write button greyed out unnecessarily, translation/wording, flexibility idea => Isodumper to be able to just rename a stick
