Description José Melo 2011-06-16 14:33:28 CEST
Using cauldron we dont have update medias as for example we have for Mageia 1, since all new versions/releases go to cauldron Core repositorie.

Having set the cauldron Core media (e.g. "Core Release") set as an update media, rpmdrake isnt able to list any updates when selecting the updates tab, however i do have updates since i can view them when running "urpmi --auto-select".

In my case i still have these updates:

~]# LC_ALL=C urpmi --auto-select
warning: cleaning stale lock
To satisfy dependencies, the following packages are going to be installed:
   Package Version Release Arch
(medium "Core Release (distrib1)")
  icedtea-web 1.0.3 1.mga2 x86_64
  imagemagick 6.7.0.8 1.mga2 x86_64
  ktorrent 4.1.1 1.mga2 x86_64
  ktorrent-devel 4.1.1 1.mga2 x86_64
  lib64gnome-media-profiles0 3.0.0 8.mga2 x86_64
  lib64ktcore12 4.1.1 1.mga2 x86_64
  lib64ktorrent3 1.1.1 1.mga2 x86_64
  lib64magick-devel 6.7.0.8 1.mga2 x86_64
  lib64magick4 6.7.0.8 1.mga2 x86_64
  lib64rsvg2-devel 2.34.0 2.mga2 x86_64
  lib64rsvg2_2 2.34.0 2.mga2 x86_64
  libktorrent-common 1.1.1 1.mga2 x86_64
  libktorrent-devel 1.1.1 1.mga2 x86_64
  librsvg 2.34.0 2.mga2 x86_64
949KB of additional disk space will be used.
10MB of packages will be retrieved.
Proceed with the installation of the 14 packages? (Y/n)

and rpmdrake displays none in the updates tab.

Still dont know if this can be something triggered by new perl, like it triggered mgaonlie and net_applet to crash, in wich was needed to update the mgaonline code accordingly with new perl code.

Cauldron is treated in a special way by MageiaUpdate and rpmdrake, i.e. */release media are checked for updates even if they're not flagged as "update" sources.

What do you mean by the updates tab? the "All updates" filter in rpmdrake or the updates in MageiaUpdate?

Also, attach /etc/urpmi/urpmi.cfg .
