Request lua to be updated to 5.3.2, Latest version I Have found is lua-5.2.3-9 in mga 6 repos.

lua 5.3 is needed to build roccat-tools 4.0  (Mouse/keyboard driver/software)

Is this only bugfix release ? according to this there is new features so this is not update due to break in updates policy.

This can't be done for Mageia, lua 5.3 is a whole new major version, it can't be used as a drop in replacement for the many packages that use lua 5.2.

Exactly and we have no roccat tools yet in Cauldron so it's manually build package,what would mean out from official support.

roccat(-tools) was requested in bug 13025, so setting this report to depend on that one.

I'd say we close this one, as Peter rechecked this and roccat-tools only requires lua >= 5.1 

Also roccat-tools is not even imported yet, so no need to keep this open. I'll check when importing current version of roccat tools to cauldron and should be able to sort out any issues related to lua whithout any version updates.

We should still package lua 5.3 nonetheless, more and more projects are going to be ported to it.

lua 5.3.4 is in cauldron and Mageia 6. Can this bug be closed?
