Description Frank Griffin 2016-04-07 20:07:49 CEST
After updating cauldron a few days ago, starting the DM locks the system tight.

Changing default.target to runlevel3 gives a bootable system, but as soon as you try to start the DM, it freezes.

On a fresh install of today's cauldron, the first boot into runlevel5 hangs. If you hit Alt-SysRq-E, systemd displays messages saying "Stopping DM", and then "Starting DM", and it hangs again.

The graphical hardware is nvidia GeForce 610M using the default driver selected by XFdrake.

Not x11, but sddm. Other DMs start X just fine.

Whatever this was was transitory. After switching to GDM and then LXDM (which both worked), I switched back to SDDM to get an Xorg.0.log, and now it won't fail.

I had used drakdm from a tty to reset the DM, so whatever fixed this was part of drakdm processing.

Closing as INVALID.
