Description of problem: When you start an install from the live system (Mageia 1 KDE LiveCD, but the behavior will probably be the same with GNOME), the installer starts in a window that you can close with the little cross (on the top-right I guess with KDE), like every other application. The problem is that if you click on it by error, it will immediately abort the installation, regardless of which step is undergoing, and without asking for confirmation. Worse, if you click on an "Advanced settings" button, it will open a second window. You can close it with "Cancel" (I guess, I'm describing from memory), but if you attempt to close it with the little cross, it will close BOTH the "Advanced settings" window and the other window where you were configuring (be it pre-install or post-install configuration). It is really annoying for it seems perfectly natural to close the second window with its little cross to go on with the configuration on the main window. Possible solutions: 1) Having the second window's cross close ONLY the second window. 2) Display a warning dialog: "Are you sure you want to quit the installer?" 3) Both (that would be nice). Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): I suppose the component is draklive-install? How reproducible: Each time you close a window of the installer. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Boot on a KDE LiveCD (probably the same for the GNOME LiveCDs) 2. Launch a live install 3. Click on the cross to close a window (be it the main installer window or a secondary window (advanced settings, aso.).

Changing version to Cauldron (unfortunately, AFAIK, ISO's aren't going to be recreated for an already released distro).

Still present in Mageia 2 alpha 1.
Not corrected in Mageia 2 alpha2. What should be the target milestone?
(In reply to comment #4) > Not corrected in Mageia 2 alpha2. What should be the target milestone? Setting it to Mageia 2, because no one reported that this is hard or impossible to solve. @ Olivier, this bug was assigned to you 6 months ago, Please give some feedback. Besides that, for all bugs that are assigned to you: Please set status to ASSIGNED if you think this bug was assigned correctly. If for workflow reasons you can't do that, then please put OK on the whiteboard instead.

I can not reproduce this at the partitioning step. Which window exactly are you trying to close?
I can. when you have booted into the live system and start the installer, then: For example, if you at "remove support for unused hardware/locales" page click advanced, it opens a "subwindow" wich has an _ox in upper right corner (under the same ones for main window). If you click X there instead of OK button, it will close the draklive-install... And the other "bug/feature" too, if you click X in upper right corner, it will close installer without question.
not involved in your system yet, but may I remind you that the X in the top right of a window in X is for "abort window' not 'close window'!

Hi, This bug was filed against cauldron, but we do not have cauldron at the moment. Please report whether this bug is still valid for Mageia 2. Thanks :) Cheers, marja

For the other issue, I've altered the generic "delete_event" callback in interactive::gtk in order to ask for confirmation between quitting.
