Description Frédéric "LpSolit" Buclin 2016-03-20 19:35:38 CET
Drupal 8.0 recommends to install the C extension [1][2] of php-twig for improved performances, but this module is not available in Cauldron.

[2] https://github.com/twigphp/Twig/tags

Once compiled and installed, it appears under /usr/lib/php/extensions/twig.so

I still don't get when package names should be the same as upstream names, and when they need to be preceded with their langueage :-(

I should have assigned this bug to the php maintainer group instead of to all packagers collectively.

The new version of twig doesn't use / require a c-extension.
There is no need to provide an extension anymore. Twig should be installed via composer.
