Description of problem: Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): Install March 10 32-bit Mageia6-dev1 on Samsung NC110 netbook (real h/w). How reproducible: Steps to Reproduce: 1. After fresh install and reboot, Plasma login not offered. (IceWM?) 2. 3. N.B. Earlier, when trying Cauldron update on Mageia-5 on that machine, I eventually did obtain a Plasma login.
Please attach /root/drakx/report.bug.xz from that install and also journal.txt that is the result from running (as root) journalctl -ab > journal.txt

Just finished clean install of latest 'release' Mageia-6-dev1-i586-DVD.iso on netbook. Installed cleanly, but on reboot still fails to provide a Plasma login (got IceWM(?) instead. Älso, failed to provide a working ethernet connection, but WiFi connected normally.
Ditto with Mageia-6-sta1-i586-DVD.iso (2016/05/03), I'm afraid. (Did 44-package update after first reboot.)
Just finished clean install of 20/5/2016 32-bit Mageia-6-sta1 on netbook. Installed cleanly, but on reboot still fails to provide a Plasma login (got IceWM(?) instead). Älso, failed to provide a working ethernet connection, but WiFi connected normally. (Installer still showing Ethernet as "eth0" and WiFi as "wlan0")
Just finished clean install of 6/6/2016 32-bit Mageia-6-sta1 on netbook. Installed cleanly, but on reboot still fails to provide a Plasma login (got IceWM(?) instead). Also an installer error: 'Unpack' failed for ffmpeg-2.8.6-3.mga6.i586".
Duplicate. drakx & meta-task hasn't been adapted to the KDE->Plasma switch, hence when you selected "KDE", it didn't do the right thing *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 18520 ***

>...hence when you selected "KDE", it didn't do the right thing I'm sure it was "Plasma" I selected not "KDE" (which earlier .iso's offered) (Will check after return to base; On holiday in Le Crotoy, Picardy, at the moment).
Sure but internally, we were still using the KDE keywoard which didn't match the PLASMA keyword in http://svnweb.mageia.org/packages/cauldron/meta-task/current/SOURCES/rpmsrate-raw?revision=1021749&view=markup
Have just installed the 20/6 32-bit classic Mageia-6-sta1 on the Samsung NC110 netbook (non-EFI non-GPT real h/w) and am happy to report that a Plasma login was FOR THE FIRST TIME with Mageia-6 - offered! No problem with initial testing after reboot. Obtained WiFi connection and a 114-package s/w update (incl. LibreOffice & Kernel). Will carry out detailed testing of apps with Plasma. So on this evidence this bug report can be closed.
