Hi Herman :-) Do you mind telling which iso you used to install from + the content of its DATE file? Into which DE (desktop environment) did you boot? Had you only installed packages from the iso, without enabling extra media and without updating, before you first started your DE?

Try again: Looking better at what happens: On the i586 laptop with Xfce, the buttons to Close or Do not show never appear, so the Welcome screen shows after every boot.
(In reply to Herman Viaene from comment #4) > Try again: > Looking better at what happens: > On the i586 laptop with Xfce, the buttons to Close or Do not show never > appear, so the Welcome screen shows after every boot. But it is possible to move the screen slightly upwards, so that they do become visible, correct?

@ Herman What is the resolution (is that the correct word, I mean the hight and width of your screen in pixels, like e.g. 1366x768) of your screen?
(asked that because I do not remember having seen this issue in any of my cauldrons, including on 3 different laptops. When checking XFCE this morning the MgaWelcome screen had centered perfectly, so the bottom buttons were fully visible)
ah, and another question: Are the buttons still hidden after creating a new user and logging in with that user?
Problem is gone after the updates on the MCC programs. I cannot provoke it anymore.
