There are several packages in Mageia 5 core/updates_testing that are lingering and not being assigned to QA. I will detail these below. They should be removed if the packagers (also noted below) don't respond (they'll be CC'd). Sysadmins, please remove: - attica (mistakenly pushed with no commits) - sqlite (mistakenly pushed with no commits) - php-pear-Horde (unnecessary update, Bug 17086) Thomas Backlund (tmb) packages: - dmidecode (add smbios3 and new hw detection from upstream) - mediawiki (T121892, Fix fatal errors on some Special pages, intr. in 1.23.12) - opencl-headers (update to 2015-03-03 refresh) - wireless-regdb (update to 2015.12.14) David Geiger (daviddavid) packages: - hatari (Bug 15867) - phoronix-test-suite (Bug 17168) - pidgin-sipe (Bug 16809) - sleuthkit (Bug 17707) - speech-dispatcher (add patch1 to enable support for pico using generic module) José Jorge (zezinho) packages: - kdevelop4-executebrowser, kdevelop4-xdebug (should probably push, Bug 17664) - sane (Bug 15413) - sweethome3d (Bug 17374) Nicolas Lécureuil (neoclust) packages: - python-cherrypy (new version 3.8.0) - scribus-unstable (imported 1.5.0) Barry Jackson (barjac) packages: - os-prober (Bug 16803, use full path for blkid) Dimitrios Glentadakis (dglent) packages: - clipgrab (update to 3.5.6 Bug 16922) Florian Hubbold (doktor5000) packages: - kodi (should have been pushed with the Bug 16911 update) Pascal Terjan (pterjan) packages: - youri-check (fix the dependency hash ordering patch)
Packagers, please respond about your packages listed in Comment 0. Thanks.
CC: (none) => dglent, doktor5000, geiger.david68210, lists.jjorge, mageia, pterjan, tmb, zen25000
Sysadmins, please also remove from x86_64 updates_testing: phpmyadmin-4.4.15.5-1.1.mga5.noarch.rpm We already pushed 4.4.15.5-1.2.mga5.
I forgot about youri-check but the update is needed (It's currently broken in Mageia 5).
Please remove sane and sweethome3d. Keep and push kdevelop4-executebrowser, kdevelop4-xdebug.
Clean forgot this one - will provide os-prober advisory later today.
Thanks José and Barry. Also thanks Dimitrios, he responded in the other bug and assigned clipgrab to QA.
- hatari (Bug 15867) = ready now for QA - phoronix-test-suite (Bug 17168) = I do not know what to do with this one - pidgin-sipe (Bug 16809) = this one can be closed and dropped - sleuthkit (Bug 17707) = is in progress - speech-dispatcher (add patch1 to enable support for pico using generic module)= Waiting for a new bug report from papoteur
Thanks David. phoronix-test-suite can be dropped for now then and it can be rebuilt if it's needed later.
(In reply to David GEIGER from comment #7) > - pidgin-sipe (Bug 16809) = this one can be closed and dropped Sysadmins, please don't drop this one, as the bug reporter says the package is OK.
(In reply to David Walser from comment #0) > Florian Hubbold (doktor5000) packages: > - kodi (should have been pushed with the Bug 16911 update) Doesn't need to be pushed IMHO, was only to ensure that kodi still builds fine with an added patch necessary after the update of jsoncpp.
(In reply to Florian Hubold from comment #10) > (In reply to David Walser from comment #0) > > Florian Hubbold (doktor5000) packages: > > - kodi (should have been pushed with the Bug 16911 update) > > Doesn't need to be pushed IMHO, was only to ensure that kodi still builds > fine with an added patch necessary after the update of jsoncpp. It should be pushed to ensure the SRPM on the mirrors is buildable then.
Thomas Spuhler also asked that roundcubemail-1.0.8-1.1.mga5 be removed: https://ml.mageia.org/l/arc/dev/2016-03/msg00101.html
tmb updated wireless-regdb again, so I guess that will be included with the next kernel update.
attica removed
TMB is the packager so you should check with him, but I believe b43-openfwwf-5.2-6.4.mga5 can also be removed. This was created by tmb in response to a problem that is no longer valid. It put the firmware into a different folder, and did not help. The current b43-openfwwf that it was supposed to replace works just fine with the latest kernels.

OK, I checked all of the SRPMS in Mageia 5 updates_testing that were not assigned to QA. First of all, here are the ones that can be deleted (last column says why it was built in the first place). *Sysadmins: please remove these from updates_testing ASAP, so that the remaining update candidates can all be installed without having to cherry-pick deselect these ones.* core: amavisd-new-2.10.1-1.mga5.src.rpm 08-Nov-2016 23:06 774K update to 2.10.1 (ghibo) apache-mod_dnssd-0.6-10.1.mga5.src.rpm 07-Jun-2016 13:27 94K mga#18450 cacti-1.1.16-2.mga5.src.rpm 19-Aug-2017 16:51 7M mga#20211 clamtk-5.11-1.1.mga5.src.rpm 26-Oct-2017 17:01 885K mga#14505 dcadec-0.2.0-1.mga5.src.rpm 11-Aug-2017 14:22 227K new pkg (geiger) encfs-1.8.1-1.mga5.src.rpm 11-Apr-2016 18:14 588K CVE already fixed flash-player-plugin-27.0.0.183-1.mga5.src.rpm 06-Nov-2017 14:32 32K wrong media, mga#22023 gnucash-2.6.16-1.mga5.src.rpm 30-Apr-2017 12:56 91M mga#17885 gparted-0.27.0-1.mga5.src.rpm 10-Nov-2016 21:29 3M update to 0.27.0 (ghibo) http-parser-2.7.1-1.mga5.src.rpm 21-Aug-2017 14:13 56K mga#21330 lame-3.100-1.mga5.src.rpm 22-Oct-2017 17:21 1M wrong media, mga#21170 libfilezilla-0.9.1-1.mga5.src.rpm 04-Jun-2017 07:19 383K mga#20531 libuv-1.9.0-1.mga5.src.rpm 21-Aug-2017 13:53 1M mga#21330 mageiasync-0.3.4-1.mga5.src.rpm 18-Dec-2016 19:19 73K 0.3.4 (geiger) mysql-connector-c++-1.1.8-1.mga5.src.rpm 28-Apr-2017 22:00 520K mga#20728 nettle-3.3-1.mga5.src.rpm 30-Dec-2017 00:40 2M mga#20531 nodejs-6.11.1-1.mga5.src.rpm 21-Aug-2017 14:36 20M mga#21330 nodejs-async-1.5.0-1.mga5.src.rpm 22-Apr-2016 15:04 89K mga#18232 ocaml-4.02.3-1.mga5.src.rpm 24-Nov-2016 13:56 3M mga#18296 ocaml-ancient-0.9.0-5.mga5.src.rpm 24-Nov-2016 21:30 94K mga#18296 parted-3.2-7.mga5.src.rpm 10-Nov-2016 21:11 2M cauldron sync (ghibo) perl-Gtk3-WebKit-0.60.0-4.mga5.src.rpm 21-Mar-2016 06:54 36K mga#15031 phoronix-test-suite-6.6.0-1.mga5.src.rpm 27-Sep-2016 06:23 850K mga#17168 php-pear-Horde-5.2.8-1.mga5.src.rpm 05-Nov-2015 15:57 3M mga#17086 postfix-2.10.10-1.mga5.src.rpm 08-Nov-2016 23:45 4M update to 2.10.10 (ghibo) python-cherrypy-3.8.0-1.mga5.src.rpm 13-Oct-2015 23:14 436K update to 3.8.0 (neoclust) qemu-2.4.1-7.mga5.src.rpm 25-Aug-2016 22:16 24M mga#18489 qtdeclarative5-5.4.2-1.1.mga5.src.rpm 05-Mar-2017 11:36 18M libQt5QmlDevTools.a (neoclust) quota-4.03-1.mga5.src.rpm 08-Nov-2016 20:35 572K update to 4.03 (ghibo) qupzilla-1.8.9-1.1.mga5.src.rpm 16-Mar-2017 07:59 3M qtbase5-database-plugin-sqlite dep (neoclust) ruby-rmagick-2.13.2-21.2.mga5.src.rpm 10-Jun-2016 15:38 1M mga#18598 scribus-unstable-1.5.0-1.mga5.src.rpm 23-Jun-2015 23:00 72M new pkg (neoclust) silicon-2.0.0-3.4.mga5.src.rpm 31-May-2016 14:15 6M mga#14964 sos-3.3-1.mga5.src.rpm 02-Jan-2017 21:36 220K mga#17358 sweethome3d-5.1-1.mga5.src.rpm 21-Dec-2015 10:30 154M mga#17374 system-config-printer-1.5.5-5.3.mga5.src.rpm 10-Apr-2016 19:51 936K mga#16513 task-printing-scanning-2011-8.1.mga5.src.rpm 07-Nov-2016 11:01 10K mga#16463 uglify-js-2.6.2-1.mga5.src.rpm 21-Apr-2016 17:54 144K mga#18232 xen-4.5.5-1.2.mga5.src.rpm 04-Jun-2017 16:31 34M sec update (tmb) xscreensaver-5.35-1.2.mga5.src.rpm 31-May-2016 10:19 10M update to 5.35 (ns80) nonfree: warsow-2.1-1.mga5.nonfree.src.rpm 21-Nov-2016 19:30 5M mga#17282 warsow-data-2.1-1.mga5.nonfree.src.rpm 21-Nov-2016 19:44 444M mga#17282

list in comment 16 nuked. wireless-regdb and puppet dropped, iucode-tool moved
clementine : yes, I have been using it daily since months, sorry to have forgotten to assign to qa.
José, please file a bug and assign it to QA. Nicolas Salguero responded in Bug 16753 about lxde-common; it can be removed. Thomas, thanks.
(In reply to David Walser from comment #20) > José, please file a bug and assign it to QA. Thanks José, Bug 22292 has been filed for this. Reminder to sysadmins to please remove lxde-common from core/updates_testing.
Yes, for cyrus-imapd. Note also that for newer gparted the purpose was to allow users partition nvme disks, as stock mga5 gparted doesn't detect NVME disks, because doesn't scan for /dev/nvmeX devices, though kernel recognizes them.
Giuseppe, please file a bug (if there isn't one already) for cyrus-imapd and assign it to QA with an advisory.
please remove perl-YAML
I bet there is nothing left in 5 updates_testing now :-)
