Description Otto Leipälä 2016-03-02 11:49:09 CET
I noticed flare-game and flare-engine is splitted to two different packages.
But problem is flare-engine have never imported to Mageia in seperate package
when it's splitted from flare, what did have both engine and game in one package.

I guess you are talking about the two git repos flare-game [0] and flare-engine [1]. They were splitted from the monolithic flare repo after release 0.19, which is the one we still have in Mageia. So our flare SRPM contains of course both the game and the engine.

So I'm not sure what's the bug to fix here? I just tested again and flare runs just fine in Cauldron.

As soon as upstream releases flare 1.0, I will of course split the package in flare-engine and flare-game to follow upstream. But for now there's nothing to do. (They tagged a 0.20 release in git, but when I asked them about it they told me not to package it and to wait for 1.0.. [2])

No it's not running nothing happend when click lxqt menu icon.
try to run it from terminal.
This means that you missing whole game data files.
So how did you get it working without engine ?.

Error during ModManager::loadModList() -- couldn't open mods.txt, to be located at
/home/ozky/.config/flare/default/mods.txt
/home/ozky/.local/share/flare/default/mods/mods.txt

Could not find the default mod in the following locations:
/home/ozky/.local/share/flare/default/mods/
/home/ozky/.local/share/flare/default/mods/
/home/ozky/.local/share/flare/default/mods/
/home/ozky/.local/share/flare/default/mods/

A copy of the default mod is in the "mods" directory of the flare-engine repo.
The repo is located at: https://github.com/clintbellanger/flare-engine
Try again after copying the default mod to one of the above directories.
Exiting.

As I mentioned, in version 0.19 there were not two separate projects, but a single "flare" repo with both the engine and the game data. This is still the version package in Cauldron, and it works just fine for me when installing the flare package.

What is the output of `rpm -qa | grep flare`?
Comment 4 Otto Leipälä 2016-06-27 20:46:05 CEST
It shows this.
flare-0.19-5.mga6
flare-data-0.19-5.mga6

Mods are installed to /usr/share/games/flare/default/mods.
I think problem is it will try to scan them from wrong location.
