(In reply to ben mcmonagle from comment #0) > logout or reboot and expected desktop is presented. > I think there is an existing Plasma5 bug report about an issue with the same symptoms. However, I can't find it now, and it is hard to know whether this one has the same cause anyway, so keeping it as separate bug.

Is this bug still valid for the released Mageia-6-dev1-LiveDVD-PLASMA5-x86_64-DVD.iso?

I had this same issue, or very similar, upon installation of 6-Sta1. The Live desktop was OK, but the installed version was broken. dmesg, or ~/.xsession-errors showed some problem with kactivitymanagerd (which was installed), related to a SQLite plugin. I installed 'lib64qt5-database-plugin-sqlite' and logged back in, and it worked ok.

lib64qt5-database-plugin-sqlite is now installed by default.
