Description of problem: harddrake2 when being started popups the message "Please wait. Detection in progress". But if I insert a usb appliance, for example a usb stick or camera it will not autodetect it. Okay, understandable. But it would be user-friendly to provide a menu entry, or better yet a button to allow the user to instruct harddrake2 to detect devices again, so a newly attached device is shown without having to quit and restart harddrake. Thanks in advance for considering it!

Pinging because this bug still has the status NEW, and nothing happened since almost 5 months ago. @ Thierry I saw you assigned this bug to yourself, so you'll agree with it being assigned to you (I hope you don't regret it ;) ). Please set the status to ASSIGNED. If for workflow reasons you can't do that, then please put OK on the whiteboard instead.

The 'problem' remains at M6. Starting harddrake2 without a USB stick connected correctly shows no 'USB storage device' line. Inserting a USB changes nothing. Conversely, starting it with a USB stick inserted shows the USB storage line & the device. Removing the stick changes nothing. The system itself is aware of & reports the stick insertion/removal. So this remains as a valid enhancement request. The current assignee 'tv' looks correct. I have updated the SRPM.
