Description Dick Gevers 2016-02-23 09:39:27 CET
Description of problem:

Under normal circumstances update-smart-drivedb will update the smart database if a newer version is found online.

Since recently (latest update ?) this no longer works:

# update-smart-drivedb
/usr/share/smartmontools/drivedb.h.error: rejected by /usr/sbin/smartctl, probably no longer compatible
Comment 1 Samuel Verschelde 2016-02-23 12:41:36 CET
Assigning to smartmontools maintainer.

Thanks for your report Dick Gevers!

Well! should be fixed now with smartmontools-6.4-3.mga6 just updated and submitted on Cauldron.

For info, this come from the download sourceforge.net URL into the '/sbin/update-smart-drivedb' file, should be now 'https' instead of 'http'.
