Description of problem: I have been looking for a way to set the desired screen resolution for the login manager that I'm using (In this case GDM), but so far using xrandr --output eDP1 --mode 1920x1080x32 is the only way I found after rebooting unless you install something called gdmsetup which doesn't exist in Mageia repos at the moment. Therefor I'm suggesting that in the Screen resolution option in the summary there should be a way to change the standard resolution for GDM, maybe from a drop down menu. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): 16.105 How reproducible: All the time. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Boot the Mageia installer for x86_64. 2. Choose to install your DE. 3. In the summary stage, choose to change Screen settings. 4. There's no menu for setting the desired resolution for the login window manager. There should be a drop down menu that's preset to "Standard", but if you click on it you can change it to a lower or higher resolution. 5. Next time that you reboot you'll get your own chosen resolution. Reproducible: Steps to Reproduce:

Maybe my feeling that this would be a lot of work, for something few people need and that can be handled differently, isn't correct? @ barjac I'm interested in your opinion :-)

Better let the maintainer decide ;-)

I don't use gdm, however if it uses the default Mageia background then that should be correct for the monitor in use assuming it correctly reports it's EDID info. If it's the the rest of the dialog on the gdm screen that is out of proportion then maybe a screen-shot would be useful so we can see the issue?
