Description of problem:
I can't find a package wich is present in mandriva2010.2, and I don't succeed in installing from source :-)


the software is "LiVES" (Linux Video Editing System) the site can be found here :

Well, lives-1.4.8-1.mga2 is in cauldron, so even if it's never backported for Mageia: it'll be in Mga 2 stable :D

But it doesn't need to be backported, it was in Mdv (lives-1.3.2-1mdv2010.1), so it is valid as a package request for Mga 1.

On Mageia release 1 (Official) for x86_64,

I would like to test it but I can't install it because libvisual-plugins is unsatisfied ,here the result :

# LC_ALL=C urpmi lives
A requested package cannot be installed:
lives-1.4.9-1.1.mga1.x86_64 (due to unsatisfied libvisual-plugins)
Continue installation anyway? (Y/n) n

By the CCM is identical.

same problem here! I can't select lives (I use rpmdrake) because of libvisual-plugins
