I'm wondering... using gdb only makes sense if, for the application that crashed, you have the related debug packages. However, it doesn't make sense to have all debug packages on the Live iso for each and every application it contains. So, since you'll need to install debug packages, anyway, you might as well install gdb along with them ;-) (Not closing this report, though, but leaving it to tmb to decide)

We wont add gdb to live isos as it pulls devel stuff in, and live isos are already too big
