Description of problem: the summary is self explaining Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): libfm 0.1.14 How reproducible: Steps to Reproduce: Under PCManFM : 1. create a directory whose name contains any utf8 character like for example an accented one (for example, "Téléchargements") 2. create foo.txt in that directory 3. cut it 4. go to your home directory 5. Try to paste it => the pasting fails According to https://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=3088859&group_id=156956&atid=801864, this is a libfm bug. I could check it with Ubuntu which uses libfm 0.1.15 (named libfm0 under Ubuntu) : the problem is fixed. So upgrading libfm should solve it.

As a workaround, drag'n drop works with those files.

Drag-and-drop does not work for me on files with spaces (from bug 3488). The same error shows up. I'm having to use either a different file manager, or copy the files from a terminal.

I must be blind, but where is the upstream patch ?
In the new version of libfm ? :) Yes sorry, it was only for not check again and again the upstream bug If you want I'am ok with a CLOSING NEXT RELEASE :D
Upstream has not released a patch for the version shipped in Mageia 1. I don't know what to patch. Our policy forbids pushing new versions to fix bugs, so CLOSING NEXT RELEASE, sorry.
