Description Olivier Placais 2015-12-31 08:53:50 CET
Hi,

Is it possible to have Package for Zelda : Mystery of Solarus ?

Sources files here : http://www.solarus-games.org/

For example, we have two packages for mga 4 here : ftp://download.asso-linux-online.fr/download/packages-mlo/Mageia/4/SRPMS/core/

(zsdx and zsxd)

Thanks.

Olivier

Hi Olivier,

Nop this is not possible as zsdx and zsxd contain copyrighted and non freely redistributable content.

See (I had already imported and finally removed):

http://svnweb.mageia.org/packages?view=revision&revision=609573

http://svnweb.mageia.org/packages?view=revision&revision=609574

Hi David,

What a pity for my children's.

Is it not possible in the non-free or tainted packages ?
Comment 3 David GEIGER 2015-12-31 09:44:27 CET
Sorry but definitely no.

No other distributions have these packages in their repos.

Even though we can't distribute the games themselves as David mentioned, the engine "solarus" is packaged in Mageia, so you only need to download the game files for ZS:DX and ZS:XD (or any other game using the Solarus engine) and you should be able to play them without having to compile anything.
