Description of problem: For some reason Firefox 38.5.0-1 does not play flash player video using freshplayer-plugin from next page: http://www.crackle.com.mx/far-cry-fuera-del-infierno/16011405 I tried using Firefox 43.0.3 from mozilla.org and it does work great.. On firefox 38.5 You can hear sound but no video, just a black screen. All other flash player content within that page as well as youtube flash video works fine but for some reason it doesn't work from crackle.com, probably some special codec within crackle. We won't update firefox to 43.0. We stick to the ESR branch, so we won't update until 45.0 ESR is released. See: https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/organizations/ https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/organizations/faq/ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_Firefox#Extended_Support_Release

Indeed, we only package stable Firefox versions. Also, even if we built the 43 milestone, it probably wouldn't help. I bet if you try the upstream build of 38.5 ESR it'll work the same as 43. We've had several complaints about sound but no video sometimes, and video but no sound other times. I don't know if it's an HTML5 codecs issue (you can try enabling tainted and installing task-codec) or what. Certainly I do know that Flash content with freshplayerplugin works just fine, as we rely on that at work. Anyway, you can file a bug for the content that's not working, and if you can figure anything out about this bug that'd be helpful. As for this particular request, it's INVALID.
