A new version of Lutris was released upstream after many months of development, and since the API for the installation scripts have changed a bit, we need to update the client in Mageia 5 to match the new scripts in the online library. Advisory: ========= Updated lutris package brings it up-to-date with the online library API The online Lutris library on lutris.net uses a slightly improved API for the game installation scripts which is not 100% compatible with the older client version in Mageia 5. We therefore provide the new 0.3.7 version to stay up-to-date with the online library, and it also provides many new features and bug fixes. Please refer to the release announcement for more details. Testing procedure: ================== Lutris is a games library that lets you handle games for various platforms in the same interface, for example native Linux games, emulators (DosBox, Dolphin, Mupen64Plus, PPSSPP to name a few), third party gaming platforms (Steam, Steam for Windows in wine), wine, browser games, etc. Those platforms are called "runners" and can be installed and configured from within the "Manage runners" menu. One can register an account at lutris.net and manage one's game library using the online library, but it is also possible to add already installed games to lutris, so that they can be launched directly from the library. Try e.g.: - Install supertux from my other update candidate ;) - Manually add a game in lutris - Select "linux" runner, add "SuperTux" as name - In "Game options", select /usr/games/supertux2 as executable, and click "Add" - SuperTux is now in the library and can be launched from there - Optional: if you registered an account on lutris.net and linked it in the client, a nice SuperTux banner should even appear after refreshing, as it retrieves it from the SuperTux entry in the online library. Only register an account if you intend to use Lutris though, it's not necessary just for some QA. Note that it's still a young project and has known bugs, so unless you find big issues, it should be fine to go (I've been using it for a while already and I work together with upstream).

mga5 x86_64 Mate Installed the update candidate and followed the procedure as far as adding SuperTux to the library and played it locally. Had to pick up the rules as Tux waddled along. It looked functional to me so it is probably safe to OK this.

mga5 i586 vbox Mate Installed supertux in a 32bit virtualbox and installed lutris from Updates Testing. Added SuperTux to the library and played it locally. Running smoothly.

I'll unvalidate because I just got notice of a small bugfix release (0.3.7.2) that I'd like to push too. It shouldn't require heavy testing though, the changelog is relatively small: https://github.com/lutris/lutris/blob/master/debian/changelog

I've tested it locally (Mageia 5 64-bit) and saw no noticeable regression. The changelog mentions the addition of support for 64-bit wine in the wine runner, but it can't be easily tested right now as 64-bit builds are not provided out of the box - there's no hurry either since all windows games are 32-bit.
IMO it can be revalidated as Len properly tested version 0.3.7, and I tested again the 0.3.7.2 bugfix I pushed afterwards. But I won't do it myself as I'm the packager, so just giving my opinion :)
